Gov. Murph says it was a Good Day for the Dems

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is hailing Tuesday’s election as a “big day” for Democrats even as a number of Assembly races remain unsettled and with Republicans declaring victory in some races. The first-term Democrat spoke earlier today in Newark alongside Democratic State Party Chairman John Currie and Somerset County Democratic Chairwoman Peg Schaffer. Tuesday’s elections were the first statewide legislative contest since Murphy took office in 2018. All 80 seats in the Democrat-led Assembly were on the ballot.
