AC Police Arrest Two In Separate Incidents

Atlantic City Police recovered two illegal firearms from suspects in separate incidents.
On July 16, 2023, at 10:14 AM, Officers Adrianna Petinga and William Harned responded to an abandoned residence in the 100 block of south Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a man that threatened to shoot a woman.
On scene, the officers observed 42 year old Armando Rodriguez on the second floor of the residence. Rodriguez, who matched the description of the armed man, refused the officer’s orders to come down the stairs to the first floor. The officers were able to contact Rodriguez who was found in possession of a loaded handgun in his waistband. He was arrested without incident.
At 7:32 PM, an officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Brigantine Boulevard and Huron Avenue. The driver, 24 year old Freddie Williams Jr. of Atlantic City , was arrested after being found in possession of a handgun. An alert had been previously issued for the vehicle pertaining to an active investigation in Stafford Township, NJ.
