30 year old Raul Virella of Bordentown was sentenced to seven
years behind bars for aggravated assault. On February 8, 2022, Galloway Township Police
responded to an altercation in the area of Federal Court in Galloway. Investigating
officers made contact with a victim suffering from severe stab wounds. The victim was
transported to the hospital where he underwent lifesaving emergency surgery. Raul
Virella was placed under arrest nearby. During a statement to law enforcement, Virella
admitted to stabbing the victim.
