DUI and reckless driving charges have now been formally charged against the driver of a vehicle that struck another vehicle along White Horse Pike last weekend. An 8-year-old boy who had been asleep in the car, parked on the side of the road in Absecon, was killed. The driver of the striking vehicle, Edward Johnston of Egg Harbor City, is the one charged in the incident. 8 year old Javier Velez was unresponsive when police got there and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he died, police said.
