25 year old George B. Franco of Pleasantville has been detained pending trial on charges of first-degree
Strict Liability for a Drug Induced Death, third-degree Resisting Arrest, and third-degree
Possession with Intent to Distribute in a School Zone.
These charges were issued on July 18, 2023 after an investigation into the death of 53-year-old
Peter Thomas of Egg Harbor Township on May 23, 2023. It is alleged that Franco sold Thomas
a lethal combination of heroin, fentanyl, 4-ANPP and xylazine. Franco was arrested on July 18,
2023 in Pleasantville and is lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
