Three 14 year olds are charged in connection with having items used to steal cars, and one had stolen credit cards as well, say Atlantic City Police. On July 14, 2023, at 9:20 PM, detectives encountered a group of males walking in the area of Connecticut and Wabash Avenues. The detectives were investigating a series of car burglaries that had occurred on July 13 in the parking garage of Bally’s Atlantic City. Three Kia vehicles were burglarized and vandalized. The suspects attempted to steal the vehicles causing damage to the steering column.
After stopping the group, two males were identified as being involved in the burglaries and were arrested. One male was found in possession of a USB cable which is commonly used to steal Kia and Hyundai vehicles. The second male was found in possession of a screwdriver which is used to turn the ignition and break the steering column. A third male was found in possession of credit cards that were later determined to have been stolen. The victim had left his credit cards in his vehicle that was stolen. This male was charged after the detectives became aware of the theft.
