Two Philly Men Arrested In AC On Drug Charges

Two Philadelphia men were arrested in Atlantic City on drug charges. On July 15, officers were conducting surveillance at Trenton and Crossan Avenues in reference to complaints of narcotic activity from residents. During the surveillance, the detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop in reference to a narcotic investigation. The driver, 21 year old Kareem Wiley, had a suspended driver’s license prohibiting from driving a vehicle in New Jersey. Both Wiley and the passenger, 28 year old Taquan Montgomery, were removed from the vehicle and a K-9 officer gave a positive indication for narcotics inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, detectives recovered 56 grams of cocaine, 50 grams of marijuana, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics that included a scale, rubber bands, small Ziploc bags, sandwich bags and a razor blade. Both men were arrested.
