Brigantine Woman Sentenced In Deadly Crash

38 year old Bao “Joanna” Huynh of Brigantine was sentenced Thursday to six years in New
Jersey State Prison for second degree vehicular homicide related to a fatal motor vehicle crash that killed a
Lindenwold man on Saturday, June 26, 2021. On June 26, 54 year old Hector Salgado was killed when a motor vehicle operated by Huynh struck his Dodge work van in Brigantine. At the time of the impact, Mr. Salgado was
loading paint and other work supplies into his van from a residential work site he was parked
outside of. The impact of the crash caused his van to collide with him, killing him instantly.
Subsequent investigation revealed that defendant’s use of numerous narcotics caused a state
of intoxication and impaired her ability to operate the motor vehicle.
