According to a news release Egg Harbor Township will receive a $1 million grant to maintain and plant trees, part of $1 billion in grants recently announced by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, city officials said.The city will use the funds to hire a certified tree expert to maintain street trees, monitor city parks, plant trees on streets undergoing reconstruction, and develop a plan to remove invasive species from public and private lands.
