A Deerfield Township man was convicted Tuesday of sexually assaulting an ex-girlfriend in 2020. According to the Press of Atlantic City, 50 year old Julio Sigurani Jr. was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, kidnapping, burglary, terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and criminal mischief. He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 19, 2024. Prosecutors said during the trial that Sigurani entered his ex-girlfriend’s Deerfield home and threatened her with a hatchet. He kept her confined to the home for about two hours.
