Transportation officials hope a new electronic toll system on the Atlantic City Expressway will help make the road safer for motorists. The Press of Atlantic City reports officials held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday at the site of a new archway at the Egg Harbor Toll Plaza as part of a nearly $80 million all-electric tolling project meant to improve traffic flow and limit crashes. During the event officials spoke about how the concept of electronic, cashless toll collection is the future of American roads.
