20 year old Khalif Chambers of Atlantic City was sentenced to seven years behind bars on charges of unlawful
possession of a handgun and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute it.
On January 6, 2023, an officer from the Atlantic City Police Department was on routine patrol
when he saw a vehicle obstructing traffic. Following a motor vehicle stop, Chambers was
identified as the passenger in the vehicle. A drug detection canine positively alerted to the
presence of narcotics in the vehicle which led to a search of the vehicle and the recovery of a

approximately one ounce of crack cocaine and cash. During his guilty plea, Chambers admitted
he intended to distribute the cocaine.
