According to the Press of Atlantic City, Atlantic City will be one of three New Jersey cities to take part in a $15 million pilot program providing grants for construction upgrades to commercial buildings to increase energy efficiency.The city, along with Edison, and Newark were selected because of their high commercial energy use, because they represent different regions and most importantly, are considered an “overburdened community” under the state’s Environmental Justice Law.
