This week, the Atlantic City Police Department (ACPD) held the fourth annual “Shop with a Cop” event at the Walmart Supercenter in Egg Harbor Township. During the four-day event, 250 children from throughout Atlantic City were treated to a shopping spree. The event was sponsored by Ocean Inc. and coordinated through the department’s Neighborhood Coordination Unit and the Police Athletic League. Each day, children were paired with a police officer or special helper to engage in conversation, have fun, and do some shopping. Santa Claus and the Grinch made special guest appearances.
