A Landisville man is charged with hitting a 52-year-old borough woman over the head with a brick and choking her. Police say 33 year old Justin Lopez was initially charged with aggravated assault, strangulation and unlawful possession of a weapon, reports the Press of Atlantic City. On Thursday, the charges were upgraded to include attempted murder, police said.
At 12:03 a.m. Monday, officers were called to North Franklin and West Arbor avenues for reports of a woman screaming. They found the victim at the scene in critical condition, bleeding from the head and disoriented. Police say Lopez and the victim knew each other.
