Man Charged With Holding Two Women Against Their Will In AC

The Atlantic City Police Department arrested a man who held two women against their will while assaulting and robbing them.
On December 31, 2023, at 9:12 AM, patrol officers responded to a residence in the first block of north Georgia Avenue in reference to two women being held hostage and assaulted by a man that they knew. Arriving officers met with one victim who had managed to escape. The suspect, 39 year old Justin Williams of Atlantic City, and a second victim were still inside the residence. Officers established a perimeter and contacted Williams who ultimately surrendered and was taken into custody.
During the investigation, officers learned that Williams had threatened to kill both victims while in possession of a large knife, assaulted them, and stole their property. He also attempted to throw one victim out of a window, but was unsuccessful. One of the victims was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of injuries sustained in the assault while the other refused medical attention. The knife used in the incident was recovered.
