Atlantic City is getting a $20 million piece of the state’s $100 million Boardwalk Preservation Fund. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the money comes from the American Rescue Plan. Other local municipalities benefiting from the grant are Brigantine ($1,185,838), Cape May ($6,722,552), North Wildwood ($10,259,827), Ocean City ($4,859,175), Sea Isle City ($1,997,000), Ventnor ($7,110,689), Wildwood ($8,269,013) and Wildwood Crest ($1,087,425). All coastal counties and municipalities that sought funds for repairs to existing boardwalks were able to apply.
