On Tuesday, 23 year old Gavin Guzman from
Atlantic City, was indicted by an Atlantic County Grand Jury for first-degree murder
and weapons offenses for the death of Nazir Cintron, 22, on New Years’s Day in Atlantic
City. The defendant is currently lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
On Monday, January 1, 2024, at approximately 7:34 a.m., the Atlantic City Police
Department responded to a 9-1-1 call at Michigan Avenue and the boardwalk regarding
a male with multiple stab wounds. The male, later identified as Cintron, was
pronounced deceased at the scene. It is alleged that Guzman stabbed Cintron in the
chest.
