The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and New Jersey State Police co-hosted a Drug
Recognition Course at the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Center at Stockton University in Atlantic
City NJ. The event was training for first responders to understand and be able to recognize drug
overdoses and symptoms in addition to capturing accurate data for deployment of resources
using Geo mapping technology to save lives and to prevent future overdose deaths.
Participants were taught how to identify and report incidents involving heroine and opiates
while learning the most updated information on the administration of Naloxone.
