A Pleasantville man is under arrest after he allegedly locked a local business owner into a store and attempted to sexually assault her. The Press of Atlantic City reports 37 year old Dashawn Cooper was charged with kidnapping, attempted aggravated sexual assault, aggravated assault, criminal restraint and criminal mischief. The incident happened Monday afternoon, Police say Cooper entered the woman’s business and began to assault her despite the two having no prior connection. The owner managed to escape to an adjacent business, but Cooper followed her and locked the door behind him, police said. He then attacked the woman and attempted to sexually assault her before officers breached the front door of the business and took Cooper into custody.
