Troiano’s Lawyer Disqualified From Case After Accepting Job Offer

The attorney representing Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. against charges of official misconduct was disqualified from the case Friday after accepting a job with the Attorney General’s Office, the same office that is prosecuting his client. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the court concluded theconflict of interest isn’t waivable.
Troiano, former Mayor Pete Byron and Commissioner Steve Mikulski are each charged with four counts of official misconduct, theft by unlawful taking, tampering with public records, and falsifying or tampering with records.
