The city has begun $26 million in restoration work on parts of the Boardwalk here and is seeking an additional $62 million to complete what’s needed along its entirety. According to the Press of Atlantic City, Mayor Marty Small Sr. said Tuesday during a news conference at Bellevue Avenue and the Boardwalk that the Boardwalk is a city street and structural repairs will make it possible for the Boardwalk to last another 50 years. And now that the state and federal governments acknowledge it is a city street, it is eligible for road dollars.
