Atlantic County commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to urge the Atlantic City Housing Authority and the federal government to “provide living conditions with basic necessities for tenants of the Stanley Holmes Village.” According to the Press of Atlantic City, a spokesperson for Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr., said the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development oversees housing authorities nationwide, not the cities in which they are located, and needs to take more action here.
