Court Movement On Small Sr.’s Slander Suit Against Callaway

The Press of Atlantic City reports the same day that law enforcement served a search warrant at the home of Mayor Marty Small Sr., his 2021 slander lawsuit against political operative Craig Callaway began to move again in court. Superior Court Judge Ralph Paolone on Thursday declined Callaway’s request for a stay in the case until federal criminal charges against him are adjudicated. On Feb. 1, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey charged Callaway, 64, of Atlantic City, with procuring, casting and tabulating fraudulent mail-in ballots in the November 2022 general election.
Paolone also extended discovery in the case to June 17th.
