Judge Will Rule In April On AC Primary Election Suit

A judge will rule in 30 days, on or about April 5, whether the results of the June 2023 primary for Atlantic City Council Ward 2 will stand or whether he will order either a new election or some other remedy. The Press of Atlantic City reports the judge on Wednesday declined to admit as evidence videos that lawyers for Viana Bailey say show votes were cast on behalf of voters without their knowledge by political operative Craig Callaway. According to the Press of Atlantic City Bailey is suing to void the results of the election which she lost by six votes to incumbent Councilwoman LaToya Dunston, and her lawyers are alleging misconduct in the election by Callaway.
