Non Profits Receive Funding For Facade, Rehab Work

Four local community development corporations have each received $1 million in Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program funds from the state Department of Community Affairs. The Press of Atlantic City reports the money is intended to improve commercial businesses and their facades, and offer housing rehabilitation grants, clean-and-safe initiatives, community programs, outreach and education, and career training. The four nonprofits are the Atlantic City Development Corp.’s Chelsea Neighborhood Plan, the Atlantic County Economic Alliance and Ducktown CDC’s Revitalize Ducktown project, the AtlantiCare Foundation’s Midtown in Motion Revitalization Plan, and Atlantic Cape Community College’s Inlet Community Development Corp.’s Atlantic City Inlet NOW!
