AC Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Pleasantville Shooting

Late Saturday morning, the Pleasantville Police Department was dispatched to a ShotSpotter indication at 317 West Park Avenue. Patrol responded to the scene and located a male, Andrew Miller, 31, of Pleasantville, NJ suffering
from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center
– City Division for treatment. The suspect left the area in a Lexus. The Lexus was stopped by
the New Jersey State Police on the Atlantic City Expressway. The driver was identified as,
Marlon Chiles II, 26, of Atlantic City, NJ. Chiles was arrested and charged first-degree
attempted murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a handgun, second-degree
possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and third-degree possession with the intent to
distribute marijuana after a large quantity was located in his vehicle. Chiles is lodged in the
