Atlantic City Police arrested a Mays Landing man with a loaded handgun following a motor vehicle stop for speeding.
Saturday night, officers were conducting radar on Route 30 and pulled over a vehicle for speeding.
Immediately after the vehicle pulled over, the officers could see the driver, 24 year old Naji Hart, switch seats with the passenger. Hart told the officers that he did not have a valid license to operate the vehicle. He was found to have a suspended New Jersey driver’s license and several active warrants for his arrest. During a search of the vehicle, the officers located a loaded handgun, brass knuckles, and paraphernalia used in the distribution of narcotics. Hart was arrested after taking ownership of the illegal items, and the passenger was released with no charges.
