Beach Replenishment Underway In North Wildwood

Beach replenishment is underway in North Wildwood. The Press of Atlantic City reports the mayor shared video Wednesday of sand and water being pumped onto the beach from a dredge. New Jersey will spend $10 million on the work and the city will add a little more than $5 million under a state agreement approved at a Wednesday morning City Council meeting.
Coastal experts have indicated the beaches of North Wildwood were among the worst in New Jersey in terms of beach erosion, with significant sections either entirely submerged or only visible at low tide.
