Chief Warrant Officer Computer Crime

A former Atlantic County chief warrant officer allegedly accessed authorized data and forwarded it to a private email account after he no longer worked for the Sheriff’s Office. Timothy Reed, who also served as Brigantine’s police chief for a time, is charged with a second-degree computer crime, according to court records obtained by BreakingAC. Reed, 60, of Galloway Township, worked as director of community outreach for the Sheriff’s Office under former Sheriff Eric Scheffler.
