The Atlantic City Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle crash involving two marked police cars.
Friday evening, two marked police vehicles were involved in a crash at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Pacific Avenue. After the initial impact, one of the vehicles struck a traffic control device that fell over and impacted the roof of a third vehicle. Two officers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for non-life-threatening injuries.
The officers were responding to the 100 block of Park Place to locate a suspect who committed a robbery. During a theft, the suspect grabbed his waistband attempting to indicate that he was in possession of a firearm. The suspect was not located.
