Ex-Atlantic County Chief Warrant Officer Accused Of Accessing County Emails

A former Atlantic County chief warrant officer stands accused of accessing county emails after he left the job. The Press of Atlantic City reports 60 year old Timothy Reed of Galloway Township allegedly accessed the county’s email system database and forwarded grant-related emails in excess of $5,000 to his personal email from early January through mid-February, a criminal complaint states. Reed served as police chief in Brigantine from 2014 to 2016 and later became the community outreach director for the Sheriff’s Office under former Sheriff Eric Scheffler.
