The Cape May County Park and Zoo announced that its 20-year-old bobcat, Mr. Peppers, has died. “Mr. Peppers was quite the character,” said the zoo in a Facebook post. “People loved watching him roll around in some smelly hay or rub his face in catnip. He loved any kind of box or crate and would jump in as soon as they were set down.” The bobcat was also the poster child for why people shouldn’t keep wild animals as pets, said the Cape May County Park and Zoo.
