Boardwalk Bicycling

Atlantic city will consider longer hours for bicycling on the Boardwalk, officials told residents who came to Wednesday’s council meeting to ask for a 24-hour bike lane on the boards. From May 15 to Sept. 15, bike riding is allowed on the Boardwalk from 6 a.m. to noon daily (except from Connecticut Avenue to Gardner’s Basin, where 24-hour riding is allowed). Cyclists who ride outside those times face a $100 fine and are kicked off the Boardwalk, even though there is no similar bike path on city streets.
