Egg Harbor Township Police will conduct an intoxicated-driving checkpoint Friday between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. at an unidentified location. The Press of Atlantic City reports township police have responded to six fatal crashes and 25 crashes involving impaired drivers since the beginning of the year, the department said. The goal of the checkpoint is to raise awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
