A groundhog that confronted a family dog Friday at a home on Cumberland Avenue in Estell Manor tested positive for rabies, marking the fourth case in the county this year, Atlantic County officials said. Two people who may have been exposed to the virus are receiving post-exposure treatment while the dog received a rabies booster vaccination, county officials said Monday in a news release.
