The Longport Board of Commissioners is looking into rpeorts of a “rat problem” residents complained about at a recent meeting. According to the Press of Atlantic City, some Bay Haven residents say the rats are coming from the borough’s Fire Department and Beach Patrol boathouse on Atlantic Avenue. Borough Solicitor Michael Affanato said what the city could and couldn’t do about the nesting rats depended on whether they really were coming from the city-owned properties.
