Atlantic City Police arrested an ATV rider who caused evacuation of a neighborhood.
On August 26, patrol officers responded to the first block of north Morris Avenue for a report an ATV striking a gas meter. Officers arrived and immediately began to evacuate the neighborhood for the odor of natural gas. Officers learned that 31 year old Laron Wright was operating an ATV when he entered an alleyway and attempted to make a turn. Wright lost control of the ATV and struck a gas meter and a vehicle.
