A Bridgeton man was sentenced to seven years in prison for his role in an armed theft at a home last year, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said Wednesday. Malachi Edmonds, 26, received five years in prison for possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, one year for trespass to a dwelling and one year for theft. The sentences will run consecutively. He will be ineligible for parole for a year and a half, the Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.
