The Margate Board of Commissioners has approved their plan to buy the former Liberty Gas station on Ventnor Avenue and turn it into a parking lot despite concerns from a fellow member of the governing body and residents.Mayor Michael Collins and Commissioner of Public Works Cathy Horn voted for the bonding Aug. 1, while Commissioner of Finance and Revenue Maury Blumberg voted against it.
