Three Millville residents were killed in a single-car accident in the area of Panther and Mays Landing roads Saturday morning, according to local police. The accident claimed the lives of driver Ian P. Rodriguez, 23, and passengers Joquan Carter, 26, and Shamere Bryant, 24.According to police, Rodriguez was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Mays Landing Road when the 2006 BMW left the road as it approached the intersection with Panther Road. Rodriguez struck a utility pole and the vehicle overturned while striking an irrigation winch located in a nearby farm.
