No injuries were reported Wednesday after a single-engine plane with only a pilot on board crashed in an area between West Liebig Street and Genoa Avenue, police said on Facebook. Police were asking people to avoid the area while the crash is being investigated. A single-engine Cirrus SR-22 airplane crashed in a field northeast of Atlantic City International Airport about 3:40 p.m., according to Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson Elizabeth Isham Cory, who emphasized the information is preliminary and that an FAA investigation was planned.
