AC Police Arrest Two Following Incident At Tropicana

The Atlantic City Police Department arrested a couple who attacked and assaulted another couple.
On September 15, at 2:56 AM, officers responded to the Quarter at Tropicana in reference to a physical altercation involving several individuals. During their investigation, 35 year old Damian Pineyro and 47 year old Keila Diaz were arrested. It is alleged Pineyro began to harass the male and female victim for an unknown reason. The victims attempted to leave the area, but the female victim was punched in the face by Pineyro. After the female fell to the ground, Pineyro began to assault the male. While assaulting the male, Pineyro pulled out a knife and lunged without making any contact.
Diaz began to assault the female by kicking and punching her in the head causing her to lose consciousness. The female was transported to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
