Breathe a sigh of relief. Despite the old saying, lightning often strikes the same place twice. Cape May City officials want to head off significant damage should it hit City Hall a third time.At a recent City Council meeting, city Manager Paul Dietrich gave an update on work aimed at reducing the risk to City Hall from lightning strikes, including new copper grounding completed that day.“We feel as confident as we can that we’ve secured this building appropriately to protect for future electrical storms,” he said.
