NC Man Arrested After Baby Left Alone In AC Hotel Room, Released From Jail

A North Carolina man accused of leaving a baby in an Atlantic City hotel room has been released from jail. 33 year old Jequan Campbell, of Erwin, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of hollow-point ammunition. Officers responded to Bally’s Atlantic City at 9:22 p.m. Aug. 30 for a report of an unattended infant left in a room. Security personnel reported that the occupants of the room, Campbell and Teeah McCall, had requested towels from housekeeping, police said at the time.
Investigators determined Campbell and McCall were not in the room when the housekeeper arrived and the housekeeper saw the infant sleeping in a crib before notifying security.
