Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing is closed Thursday as school officials and law enforcement continue to investigate threats made on social media Wednesday night. A post went out to parents reading, in part, “This decision is being made out of concern for the emotional and mental health of our community, not because we believe the school to be in imminent danger.” The post went on to urge anyone with information to contact school administration and/or the Hamilton Township Police Department at 609-625-2700 ext #1.
All athletics are canceled tomorrow. Back to School Night for parents will be held, as scheduled.
