The Atlantic City Police Department arrested a stabbing suspect shortly after the attack occurred.
On October 6 at 8:30 PM, patrol officers responded to the 2500 block of Atlantic Avenue in reference to a stabbing. Officers arrived to locate a victim, 44, of Atlantic City, suffering from a stab wound. Members of the department’s Surveillance Center were able to obtain a suspect description and provided it to officers. Shortly after, officers located 19 year old Jerry Martinez of Atlantic City several blocks from the crime scene. Martinez was identified as the attacker and arrested.
