The Atlantic City Aquarium will reopen in December after four years and a multimillion-dollar renovation inside and out, Mayor Marty Small Sr. said during an event Monday at Gardner’s Basin. He said “We could have opened the aquarium (earlier), but the standards of this administration were to open when everything is complete,” Small said of the facility, which has been closed since the 2020 COVID-19 shutdown. “We are working to make it the best aquarium it can be.”
