According to the press of atlantic city an Atlantic City man who admitted shooting another man in the back during a fight last year was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said. Jawaun Yeoman, 27, pleaded guilty July 16 to aggravated assault, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a handgun by a prior No Early Release Act felon. Yeoman was awarded one day of jail credit toward his sentence because he is incarcerated on a parole violation. Upon release, Yeoman is subject to parole supervision for three years.
