On Monday, Halim Fisher, 26, of Galloway was sentenced to six years behind bars on charges of unlawful possession of a handgun, eluding police, and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute it.
On December 21, 2022, Fisher was arrested in the 1700 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City
after he and a juvenile distributed crack cocaine to a man inside of a convenience store. When
police arrived at the store, Fisher was taken into custody and a narcotics scale and Ford car keys
were recovered from his person. A search of the juvenile lead to the recovery of crack cocaine.
Subsequently, police located a Ford Fusion which surveillance video showed Fisher parking near
where he was arrested. A court-approved search warrant later led to the recovery of a loaded
handgun inside the glove compartment. The DNA laboratory confirmed that Fisher’s DNA was
present on the handgun.
